Kiawah Partners Hires In-House General Counsel

CHARLESTON, SC (October 13, 2011)– Kiawah Partners, the international real estate development company, is pleased to announce that Robert L. Brooke has joined the company as general counsel.  Brooke has practiced law for 27 years and was previously a partner with Troutman Sanders LLP in Richmond, Virginia where he practiced intellectual property, civil litigation and corporate law.  As general counsel for Kiawah Partners he will be responsible for all legal matters pertaining to the company and its affiliates, including acting as their general counsel, managing their outside legal representation, litigation and contracts,  among other duties, for their properties at Kiawah Island, South Carolina, St. Kitts and Ireland.

Brooke holds a B.A. from Washington & Lee University and a J.D. from the University of Virginia.  He is married to Elizabeth Lynn Brooke, a Charleston native, and together has three daughters: Caroline, Elizabeth and Ralston.
